Alexandra Green Marketing

Staff in the Spotlight: Alexandra Green

  1. What was your previous position and how long did you serve?

After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Management and Marketing I worked for a well renowned pawnbroking retailer before moving on to a role in electrical engineering. After a period of hard graft, I was hungry for a new adventure so decided to backpack solo around Australia and Asia. Upon my return, I provided marketing consultancy services for industrial SMEs, before coming across the career opportunity at Crystal Clean Service.

  1. What are your areas of expertise?

Strategic marketing, digital marketing, social media and event planning. Its cliché but I truly am a people’s person, I particularly enjoy meeting new people and delivering exceptional levels of customer service.

  1. What attracted you to the position?

I enjoy taking on fresh challenges, prior to my arrival, Crystal Cleans’ marketing activities have been quite subdued. I am looking forward to being part of the journey as the company continues to expand and grow, and with that expansion, take its marketing communications to the next level.

  1. When did you start at Crystal Clean Service?

1st of January.

  1. What will be your roles and responsibilities?

My role will involve taking hold of an array of marketing activities including, press relations, social media and the creation of marketing literature. I will be implementing new product offerings and marketing campaigns in addition to representing the company at industry events.

  1. What are your hobbies, interests and any interesting facts about you?

I am a fully qualified permanent cosmetics artist so I know how to tattoo eyebrows and eyeliner! I also have a passion for horseriding and hold an advanced scuba diving certificate. My greatest achievement was probably motorbiking Vietnam from North to South and remaining in one piece!

  1. If you could pick two dinner companions, one past, one present, who would it be and why?

It would have to be David Attenborough, although just listening to his voice I would feel like I was in a wildlife documentary! He must have so many amazing stories. Also, David Bowie, I love his music and it would be great to meet such an iconic, influential artist.

  1. What is your favorite household chore?

Mine would have to be polishing, love to see shiny surfaces!
